Back to ResearchIn collaboration with clinical researchers, I apply mixture models and latent variable methods to questions about the structure and heterogeneity of mental disorders — for example, identifying subtypes in depression (phenotyping).
The goal is to bring rigorous quantitative modeling to substantive questions in psychopathology while being careful about what these models can and cannot support.
